A courtyard garden in Redland, Bristol. French doors from the kitchen open directly onto this sunny courtyard. The rectangular design maximizes the space which includes an area for dining under the shade of a tree and further seating provided by an oak corner bench. Generous planting areas are created by raised stone beds which echo existing stone boundary walls and compliment the warm tones of the sandstone paving. A water feature provides a focal point from the kitchen and a multistem Acer 'Sango-kaku' and two multistem Amelanchier give structure and seasonal interest.
